Hockey Yukon is now accepting applications for the following positions for the upcoming Canada Winter Games hockey programs (U16 Male & U18 Female):
- Head Coach
- Assistant Coaches
- Support Staff (Trainer / Equipment Manager / Video Coach / Other roles as required)
Role Overview
Staff will support the preparation, selection, and competition of Hockey Yukon's Canada Winter Games male and female hockey teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support athlete evaluation and team selection process
- Contribute to team systems, preparation and game strategy
- Help build a strong, positive team culture
- Attend identification camps, practices, and competition events
- Work collaboratively with the coaching and support team
- Represent the program in a professional manner on and off the ice
Coaching Qualifications
- HP1 Certified and/or trained (or in progress) *Candidates with Development 1 may apply and be considered based on other experience and qualifications
- Strong understanding of team environment and athlete development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in high-performance or competitive sport environments an asset
